Gingerbread Cookie Roundup

November 29, 2018 DANNI LONG Leave a Comment

Christmas time is here. What a wonderful time of the year. All the festivities are beginning and for some new traditions are starting. We thought it would be fun to put together a round up of  GINGERBREAD  recipes that you could do with your family.

PORCHSIDE CHATS GINGERBREAD ROUNDUP

Every year on Christmas day my niece, nephew, husband and I put together a gingerbread house, train or just decorate gingerbread cookies. However, i have to admit we cheat and buy the ones from Walmart. My husband normally is the one that gets stuck putting it together and the kids decorate it with candy (if they haven’t ate it before hand lol). They love it and look forward to our yearly tradition.

This year I thought it would be fun to see what Gingerbread houses are out there and maybe find a different option for us this holiday season.

After gathering up all these fun Gingerbread recipes we just may have to create our own craft or cookie from the websites below.  Our blogging friends have some creative ideas that your bound to love.

Need a Gingerbread Cookie recipe? Our friends over at Baking at a Moment was nice enough to share theirs with us. Check out the recipe here

Her DIY Craft Felt Gingerbread House is precious and any little one would love making this. It would also make a great keepsake. See pic below. If you click on her page above there is also a video on how to make the little house with your little one.  Our friends over at The Inspiration Edit also have a adorable Gingerbread Craft to share with you. Tikkido was also featured on the Food Network Holiday Gingerbread Showdown Nov 25. If you love the food network watch for her.

  • How to work in small sections
  • Using Large Cans / Cereal Boxes
  • Types of decorating tips to use  …
  • And the list continues be sure to check out her page

If you want to get a little more creative with the Gingerbread Cookie recipe there is always this adorable Gingerbread Ark. Looks like it may take a lot of time but its absolutely adorable. Visit our friends at Upstate Ramblings  for more information on this adorable idea.
